Trap Metal em criação de Nxxses

Trap Metal em criação de Nxxses

Já andava sentindo falta de ouvir um bom trap (podem falar mal de mim, do trap, e do que quiserem, mas ouço e gosto), quando recebo a música “Take My Heart”, do Nxxses. E não era somente um trap, era mais: tinha Metal, ambiência Death e Dark. A letra trata do paradoxo do amor, pois (quase) sempre acaba mal. Nesse sentido, Luis de Camões disse algo bem semelhante em um soneto de métricas perfeitas e repleto dos paradoxos do amor e que sei decorado:
Amor é fogo que arde sem se ver

Amor é fogo que arde sem se ver;
É ferida que dói e não se sente;
É um contentamento descontente;
É dor que desatina sem doer;

É um não querer mais que bem querer;
É solitário andar por entre a gente;
É nunca contentar-se de contente;
É cuidar que se ganha em se perder;

É querer estar preso por vontade;
É servir a quem vence, o vencedor;

Confira:

1. Your musical training involves what sound experiences?
 I’ve never really been trained or professionally taught in what I do. I’ve always loved music since I was a kid and over the years of wanting to do it myself I just grew more analytical and observant about the different aspects of compositions, which have helped me to learn and adapt my sound with the patterns and styles I so enjoy from other musical acts. From my start in 2020 to present day, it’s been a lot of trial and error, and learning what I could do better & applying that to my next song or project.
2. There is always curiosity about the musical creation process. I would like you to describe your creative routine, environment and whether you work better alone or if you prefer to create in the company of others.
A lot of my creation process is sporadic to be honest lol. I’ve had many moments where a line or rhythm just pops into my head at a random time, so I’ll jot it down in notes for later. A lot of my best material came from spontaneous moments of inspiration. I work a full-time job around 50 hrs a week so I don’t get much time to work on anything but lyrics and ideas within the week, so I use the weekend to really sit down and put work into my next project. If it’s metal, I tend to listen to the instrumental over and over again and write my vocal structure based on that, or I’ll already have an entire song written before I record and by the time I do construct the song, I usually have to omit lyrics at some point. If it’s any of my alternative stuff like my most recent and upcoming works, I’ll select a beat and develop a vibe or idea for the song. I’ll then either write something around that or just piece together some of my past ideas for lyrics that I’ve already written down to fit the style and the song.
3. Trap is a sound base of a certain specificity and you associate it with death metal in several compositions. How do you interpret your sound and musical project?
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it till I die, I just do what I feel like doing lol. I’ve always had an expansive music taste from listening to radio rock, pop, hip hop, and country, to discovering heavier music and other stuff not in the mainstream. Out of all the bands and artists I’ve listened to they all have a unique style and a lot of them phase in between genres and blends of these genres, and that’s always been what’s interesting to me. Heavy, brutal deathcore, but add in some symphonics? Love it. Maybe a djent or metalcore band that uses synths in their music? Hell yeah.
I’ve also always been into the rap-rock blend, with inspiration from bands like From Ashes To New & Hollywood Undead. So hearing that on a new level when I discovered trap metal acts like Scarlxrd, Original God, Jake Hill, etc. REALLY gave me that feeling of decisiveness, like THAT’S what I wanna do. However, I still started out as a deathcore vocalist, even being in a few bands before starting solo, and I wanted to continue to do stuff like deathcore and black metal and whatnot, but with my own rules. So eventually I not only never stuck to one genre, but I always found ways to intertwine one style into another, as seen with most of my deathtrap/alt trap songs. My new single, “Take My Heart”, is a great example of this, as it’s primary just alternative, dark trap, but I still found a way to express myself in it that resonates and draws from my more metal roots. I would consider my sound just a massive amalgamation of every little piece of my personality and music taste, fitted to my own ability and character. I do what I want with my music, I do what I feel like doing with it. And with this new album I’m working on for this year, I definitely plan to make my mark upon the scene as one of, if not the, most versatile artist out there.
Thank you for this opportunity, and to everyone, go stream the new song “Take My Heart” out on all platforms, follow me on my social media, and keep your eyes open for all the rest I’ve got in store for this year, including a new full length album for 2022.
